Is this tweet from a factory hen or a falcon. My guess is it's more 'cluck' than 'brute beauty and valour and act.'
And there is that odd 'increasingly' qualification. As if they were ever anything else.

The Government's handling has been abysmal and confusing from the very start and ending with life as normal but wear a mask but we will not enforce that dictate.
Those with the right friends allowed to travel to various parts of the country with no repercussions, while Joe public had to stay at home. No checks on those entering the country together with lock-down starting too late and not properly enforced.

Now we find that an 84-year old Chatham man who had never been outside the UK died of COVID-19 on the 30 January.

True. But, fatally, catastrophically, it won't be anyone in government, anyone advising, or anyone in parliament.

Rather than ask 'where did parliamentary scrutiny go?' Ed Moribund simply endorses Hancock's newest decree and encourages the totalitarian methods of mass informing and denunciation. No surprises here; Labour as an opposition is a distant memory, and relishes a future when it may have a public health tyranny of its own.
Equally unsurprising is the silence of most of the governing party's MPs; which kind of proves that, if they're keeping something in their Conservative trousers, it isn't conservative tackle.

More people must have returned to the office than I had imagined; today's Daily Express leader column observes that "there are enough staples for everyone if we behave responsibly and unselfishly". Huh - ain't sharing my Tippex.

Care to present any evidence to support that statement?

No evidence from me but common sense dictates there is a fair chance of that happening. Unless a vaccine is found, either that or we all isolate for ever and never come into a contact with a carrier.

Sorry, JH, but common sense isn't science. btw I'm not expecting the poster to return with support for his or her assertion.

Some stirrings in Lincs. Probably too late to prevent the arrival on platform UK of the dystopia express, but if it means relying on backbench Tory MPs to form the parliamentary opposition (as the 'real' one is disgracefully truant) then so be it.

Anti lockdown protests in London.
'Crowds threw bottles at the officers and chanted "pick your side", while police used batons against them and left some with visible injuries.'
I think that answered that question

Well, at least the UK police aren't political, and are committed to the law rather than to the diktats of government ministers and the sympathies of police chiefs and city mayors. So it was a totally impartial cracking of heads.

I'm pleased to read that HMG is providing 'thousands of iPads' to care homes.
Unfortunately the 'i' stands for incontinence.
