16:1574360Well I was sure glad when I stuck my head out of the bunker to see clear blue skys!
Brian, I suppose one could attempt painting and decorating for 2 pounds an hour in the East, but would you work for that wage, assuming it is the minimum wage, or for 3 pounds an hour as an average wage?
But, the oppossite way functions from eastern e.u. to western: to receive a minimum wage here corresponds to a high wage there!
But, I think I have said enough on this point for now. I'll go and look elsewhere on the threads and see what's on.

13:3574500Keith - all Norman Tebbit has questioned is whether Child Benefit should be taken away from mothers who stay at home because their husband happens to be a higher rate taxpayer. Thats all. He said he was not against the removal of CB from higher earners in principal - unlike Red Ed who thinks millionaires should still get CB....

14:0774508My Blog is now uploaded on this issue, where I place another, so far, unaddressed perspective to this matter. Be interesting to see your response Keith.
