I have and it is.
There were one or two dissenters, but the vast majority agree; we should abide by OUR laws, not those of Strasbourg.

The extremist preacher was freed from Long Lartin top security jail on Monday evening but will be banned from holding lengthy conversations with anyone beyond his family and will not be allowed to leave his home for 22 hours a day — including going into his garden. He is prohibited from using a mobile phone, computer or the internet.
The European Court of Human Rights blocked Britain from deporting the 51-year-old Islamist cleric to Jordan after ruling that he might not receive a fair trial.
The mayor of London, Boris Johnson, highlighted the strain on police resources as a result of the release of Abu Qatada.
"It's frustrating to see 60 officers a day being dedicated to round the clock surveillance of Abu Qatada when we all want them out on the streets," Mr Johnson said.
"The sooner we get Abu Qatada to Jordan where he is due for trial, the better," he added.
Prohibited my sweet aunt fanny. It is impossible to stop mobiles from entering prisons never mind someones home. This is an outrage. The Government, whether or not it is cobbled together, should grow a pair and send him on a plane.........

As Bern says how on earth can they stop him using any of the following....mobile phone, computer or the internet.... the only way they could possibly do that is by including his family and visitors as well. The whole situation is ridiculous, yet again the law is an ass.

the thing that baffles me is that he has not been charged with anything over 6 years.
i find it hard to believe that he has not made a hate filled statement in this time.
there is something that we have not been told.

This is the sort of thing that happens when the legal bods use a term like a month instead of saying midnight on a set date, a month can be 28, 30 or even 31 days.

One of the news programs last night night showed a document from the European Court put out by the Home Office showing the definition of the date for the deadline in this case, and that was the one the government used. But apparently the ECHR can choose to accept an appeal if it's outside the deadline anyway
