Roger - 14 May 2010 21:3251935Apparently the mast undergoing maintenance is being painted red and white, according to our navigators who noticed it this morning.
Took a photo this evening with the coastguard masts in the foreground but it was at sunset and the colours don't show up.

- 15 May 2010 08:2452031Thanks Ed thats a good pic and explains things too as I thought my eyes had gone funny when driving down Folkestone Road seeing one mast as a sort of orangey colour. Least that means they are refurbishing the other 2 that are left meaning hopefully their saved.

There is also a planning application in for "Installation of 10 transmission dishes, cabling and other ancillary works together with structural strengthening of the tower " so it is good to see them continuing to be useful tooBeen nice knowing you :)
