I must be missing something rather obvious here, 6 pages full of ticketed cars with just the odd clamp here and there. On another thread a few weeks back police were giving on the spot fines to truckers parked illegally, if not paid on the spot they were clamped.

Look out for the Czech reg Volkswagen golf estate in a dirty shade of red with blacked out windows, seen round the town regularly in the evenings i think delivering takeaways. I was behind this car the other night at the traffic lights.Deserves a speeding ticket for the way it travelled along Barton rd and another ticket for reckless driving.

I'm afraid that where Dover is concerned, the police hierarchy seems to have problems such as poor/selective memory, limited attention span, inability to multi-task and denial problems when challenged. Officers on the ground first class but with hands tied by red tape.

There's a Latvian car at the Godwyne Road end of Harold Street. Been there for months, now has one flat tyre.
Doesn't look in too bad a condition, but obviously dumped.

In Germany a car must be reregistered to the new city or town of it's owner after six months
i.e. If your car is registered in Munich and the owner moves to Hamburg. In Germany the registration is for the owner not the car. Hence all cars sold new or otherwise are sold without plates.

There's also another Czech car with obligatory flat tyre in the lay-by outside the Beacon church in London Road/Beaconsfield.

This car has a Council notice on it now, which is good.
Now, can I get the Council notice to remove my next door neighbours?

Looks like this Czech car has the order of the boot:-
Meanwhile some traffic warden is being hopeful!

I often wonder what type of mot test if any that some of these Czech reg cars have to undertake. Some are in an obviously dangerous condition but are still driven daily without it seems any fear of the law.You or i if caught driving anything in such a state would be taken off the road straight away.

The wardens were out in force yesterday morning but this one avoided being ticketed of course.

Different rules seem to apply at the seafront.

On Effingham Crescent today there are a couple of cars (GB's regs) with parking tickets.
The White one (vw polo?) I've seen with parking tickets before and the other clearly had a fake number plate.
What does it take to get a clamp and towed away?
Hopefully a post on this forum!

Probably only get clamped if registered to a house in that street.DVLA dont seem to check the streets at random quite so much as they used to.More just relying on the reg number coming up on their computers as an untaxed car so all they have to do is just turn up at that address and clamp if its outside the house.like most they have made cutbacks just as the Police have done, hence more dodgy unroadworthy cars running around just getting away with it.

A Slovakian registered car got a ticket for being in the loading area at the front of Boots this morning, quite a smart new looking vehicle not like the usual rust buckets.

Am I right in thinking that the car you refer to is the one in Post 71?
