There's currently a car backed up to the car outside the Beacon church and 2 men (the owners?) looking it over.

Also theres no value for scrap abandoned cars anymore which probably helped toward recovery costs in the past. This is why so many are becoming abandoned around our streets.

Following Karlos's posting I checked the car outside my place that consistently parks on the double yellows. Lo and behold, no MOT.
What is the point of the ANPR cameras I ask? The evidence is flagged up but not acted upon.

Car has been jacked up. Presumably they couldn't get the wheel off!

This car has received a ticket most days since before Christmas. Why has nothing been done by DDC to recover the sums due and/or tow away and crush the car? Those of us who have to pay for the parking in Bench Street are getting increasingly angry at abuses such as this. He must owe close to £2000 by now. A hole in council revenue easily plugged by bailiffs.

Look how long it took to remove the previous car on this thread and that car that was facing backwards on London Road for months.
Possibly publicity on here is the only way to shame the council into action.

One can only try. Councillors will say (do say) that it's a matter for the officers.

The answer is those 3 little letters DDC. Same story over and over again, its easier to jump on the law abiding every time!
It took me six succesive letters to prove that a housing letter was wrong, a simple clerical error. Finally they threatened to take me to court, I think they finally bothered there arses to read the letters when I said thank you i look forward to seeing you there and i shall be applying for costs when it is thrown out.
Far too many lazy and incompetent staff.

Perhaps our Leader (PW) could get someone from Parking Services to explain why these cars are not being dealt with.
Over to you Paul.

This car has been here a couple of weeks. In the first days a hopeful CEO put some tickets on it!
Meanwhile, this UK Skoda with no tax or MOT has been got at!

I saw a traffic warden writing a ticket for the green VW polo today but i doubt if anything much will happen.Drivers of these foreign reg cars must look at us as a joke as they seem to know little or nothing will be done.

Ref post #48, I must confess to a bit of Schadenfreude.
No way can this be driven legally, especially being left hand drive.
