18:3181925astonishing result, the result was the very last one to come in.
the fans will want a home game against a top club, the directors would prefer an away game at a big club.

19:3081940Jan they were Aldershot supporters, they came and invaded where we were outside the Town Council offices giving out free Mulled wine, and mince pies, singing will you come to Aldershot, well the answer to that is no why should we!You are out of the Cup!
If you knew what I know,we would both be in trouble!

20:3281953well today as stewart and others were not at crabble i thought i would give a short report.
aldershot today started strongly and have to say there number 10 and 7 were a class above the rest.
but dover slowl started to get rid of the cup nerves and come into the game.
goiung in at 0-0 at half time dover rebuilt.
the second haklf saw dover play with a lot more confidence and an outstanding turn by alan bichell put dover 1 up (hes certainly playing in a league far below where he could play)=
aldershots heads dropped from this point and dover came more and more into the game.
in the first half adershot strung passes together and looked a little dangerous, in the second they looked a lot more ordinary with passes going astray.
towards the end an aldershot player handletd ref missed it but good old lino saw it and dover had a penalty up popped birchall to make it 2-0 and realy game over
dover keeper was in fantastic form today.
if you looked in the second half you would not know who the fooball league or non league club was.
the gap between the fooball league and conference is getting smaller
dover has showed tha against the gills and now aldershot
now the big boys in the draw
understand dovers draw ball is number 63 lookout for that
man utd away???? wouldn tha be great
its been a great day
i would like to end on sad note
at the game a few supporters asked the steward if he could sit down as he was blocking the view, he refused to even though a stall was provided.
people did pay £15 and this was an inflamed prob.
vic in the end tapped him on the shoulder explaining people had paid £15 and not to watch his back.
the steward got very aggresive and stated he was calling his boss to get vic evicted as he had been assaulted!!!
i had to intervene to explain vic had asked nicely and its reasonable having paid so much not to have someone stand in front of you, it wouldnt happen anywhere else so why at dover?
i had explained to chief safety officer vic was polite and the steward had inflamed what was a minor incident by his aggressive attitude.
he was made to sit down
i ask paul harrison this question in the hope that he will take this informaion back to the chair of the club
the steward had ginger hair his number was i think 109
he was by the gate at row f by the directors box
i understand hes usually a bouncer at a night club, hes part of a resonse team
did dover have to have this response team? if so are they veted by the club?
you cant just put anyone in as a teward.
and to be honest tha steward was a disrace.
he nearly got vic evicted had i not been there he may well have done.
he was the wrong man in the wrong place and the club should look intio this seward and if they have to have responsre teams this person should never be allowed to be a steward at crabble ever again.
im sorry to ramble on, but this nearly did spoil a good afternoon
i hope that paul harrison can take this back to the board and hopefully an answer can come back once its investigated.
but lets look to the draw and the 3rd round
man utd sounds good

20:3981957This is for the REAL Dover fans - the stalwarts who understand the meaning of loyalty (a word not in everyone's vocabulray).
Despite the antics of one or two this is truly great day fro Dover.

20:4081958"Better half" says it was a good game, fantastic that Dover is through to next round. A Big club would be great, home game would be nice but probably be more tickets available if its an away game. Just waiting for tomorrow's draw.

21:1081971not the end of the matter, we are all on tenterhooks for the draw.
say it was an away game against one of the london giants, that would mean we would get 25% of the tickets.
if it was my team that would mean 9000 tickets sent down here, more than enough for genuine supporters and all the hangers on like me that would like to see the match.
