21:0580347i remember when oxford visited 8 years ago in the cup, due to segregation a whole terrace was taken up by about 50 visiting supporters.
2000 tickets seems rather high, that would be based on a capacity of 8000.

The number of away tickets offered for this match has not been set by the minimum requirement of the competition but the physical lay out of the ground and the rules on segregation, it left the club tied on how it could be done.

even if aldershot do not sell all their allocation, should be plenty of tickets for home fans.
17 November 2010
19:4880538We hope so Howard, some think we will sell our 3000 very quick others think it is plenty and everybody will be fine for getting a ticket. I shall be manning the ticket sales 11.30 Saturday morning and expect we will be nice and busy:)

if dover have 3000 and aldershot 2000 and tha capacity is 6500, where will the other 1500 go.
i understood that the 2000 visiting tickets formed the segregated bit.
17 November 2010
22:5480612At the moment they are not Howard the capacity for the game has been reduced to 5000 but the stadium capacity since the new Centre Spot was built has been reduced to 5745. So there is still some spare capacity but not that much you will always lose some when you have to segregate.

If you look at the plans in the link above the away supporters are in the Dover End and Dover supporters have the rest.

09:3480657Guys Im going off on a tangent here...but having watched the match last night between England and France, I wish you guys wouldnt use the words..."Total Football" when you describe English football.

Total it isnt at any level. Its merely workaday. The national team were wiped by France last night. The whole team for a great deal of the match were reduced to ball-watching as the dazzling French slipped this way and that with imaginative skill and considerable panache.
The scoreline Eng 1 France 2 ...flatters England as France just played them off the park and hit the post as well. The England goal was a consolation late in the game. The above scorline could even have been more. France have been revitalised under legendary player and now manager Laurent Blanc.
This is a French team that were down and out just a few months back and have now re found their appetite...England just bumble along in the same old way. Strewth!

it is total footy club to save anyone readng it if they dont like footy
as for england, well as you say paulb sadly most professional fooballers are overpaid and there needs to be a re thunk before more and more clubs go under.
had you been at gillingham you would have seen real passion for the club.
many of the players stay at Dover because of the 1000 or so fans that turn up week in week out
unheard of such crowds in the same league or even above.
To get back to the thread its a big day for dover, not just the footy club, but also the town where somethng positive is happenng, positve stuff and its great.
vic';
yes my boy gettng tickets saturday

i doubt that players wages are the problem, most countries pay similar.
paulb
it is down to swings and roundabouts, not very long ago england stuffed our german friends 5-1 in krautland.

wages of footballers here or any other country are crazy.
£200,000 a week yes a week not a year.
sadly what we are seeing is a handful of clubs in the premier able to compete(and now even some of the biggest clubs are showing millions of pounds of debt)and other clubs going to the wall.
Not forgetting that the downward effect on some of this is clubs like Dover who get a very small rake off of the revenue,
