Vic, when you are doing your bit tonight please stress how long and difficult the journey is to Ashford and Margate by public transport. Many with children and the elderly do not have access to a car

I try to be neutral and polite but it is hard and getting even more difficult at times.

I will do what you aske, but have already done it many times before, I am upset more this time because they put it all back one year,I will be telling them that the public of Dover are not happy with that,I do know there are others members in Dover that will also be there and like me have been on about the Buckland Hospital for a very long time even longer than myself, and they will also be having their say.

It's always been that the Trust don't like the public turning up at these meetings. Only "members" tend to be told about them. So unless you trawl through their website you don't know what's happening.
A few years ago an exhibition was put on at the Town Hall. It was only advertised in "Health News", which of course everyone avidly reads. At the Town Hall itself on the day all that mentioned it was a flipchart at the top of the steps with a notice in Biro.
It didn't take long for me to be removed from their press release list.

that website used to be o.k. now i find that it is difficult to get infomation needed.
the trust has always in my memory been a closed shop, that seems clear at meetings.
Any one can become a member of a Foundation Trust its not difficult Either use the link on the website or write to the Trust asking to become a member , Dont forget you can also apply to become a member of the loal Mental Heath Trust ( KMPT as well .) its not yet been granted foundation status , they are based a Kings Hill West Malling . You are then automatially sent invitations to all public meetings .
Vic the website gives the date of the meeting as the 27th not the 26th

Sarah how right you are,but only found out after I got there and the doors were locked, but I am not one to give up that easy so I went looking to see who I could find to talk to,and yes I found somone we had a meeting on a one to one and Can tell more about that after tomorrows meeting, but I also have a council meeting tomorrow,so I will have to come back for that.missing the main part of the N.H.S. meeting but I will do my best but i did put over tonight about how we was all feeling in Dover,so I will post late tomorrow night when I get in unless somone beats me to it.
