Someone quite recently complained to either DTC or DDC that the druggies were using them, that could be the reason.
Everyone must now cross their legs, use incontinence pads or wet themselves when out shopping.

All this anti social behaviour in toilets started when they stopped having attendants. Either bring them back or have a turnstile charging say 50p for admission which would stop the druggie fraternity.

The Maison Dieu toilets were closed because it took the local morons less than 1 week to trash them by ripping out all the replaced and refurbished plumbing on the urinals etc.

Sadly the town councils scheme offering a £3k pa payment to businesses to make their loos available to joe public isnt working. The last business that availed itself of this scheme has pulled out due to anti-social behaviour by drug users in their loos; at the end of the day £3k doesnt compensate for losing ones reputation or getting fined or worse.

I fail to understand why we can not go back to how it was when I was young when we paid and there was an attendant to keep the toilets clean and safe and a definitely a lot more pleasant to use. They would almost certainly be virtually self funding with no need for extra contract cleaners.
From Facebook, one helpful business has come to the rescue, I hope his generous offer is not abused.

Its not the scheme itself that is the problem it is the people who abuse themselves in toilets no matter where those toilets are that are the problem

Of course we need public loos but we also need to stop anti social behaviour in them which includes vandalism, drug taking etc.
Providing loos without a solution to the latter only fuels the problem

No Idea what the post 59 is about.
Ross
I fully understand that, but that comes with the drastic changes to society, do gooders, political correctness, teachers powers taken away, police losing respect, I could go on,,,,,
