Christmas, as far as I'm concerned, can do like the turkey does and get stuffed. I don't wear silly hats, I don't send cards, and as an antitheist it means absolutely nothing to me. How this gives someone licence to pass on malicious gossip is totally beyond me.

Been a few comments here about the unions suddenly flexing their muscles after decades of being docile. Our Charlie is railing about union militancy by British Airways cabin crew who earn a massive £12,000 pa basic wage but maybe the works are starting to turn as Chief Executives in big organisations continue to pay themselves bonuses whilst the staff have to accept austerity.

I think you hit the nail on the head sir but sooner or later we will meet up .I might even go to a council meeting and aske him in public.

He doing lots of posting at this time but still will not come back to this one, he is hoping it will be taken off ,but I will only start it up again.

I have always been a union man and like all good ones I will not give up but it will be within the law.

Re post 46and 42-Not much good will here.. I was promised a letter of apology when I was Chairman because a Parish Councillor was so rude to me .Still waiting.I might add I did not make a complaint but the Chairman of that council requested that a letter be sent.

What turns me off unions is when a leader uses his members to further his political ambition, the RMT leader speaking at some far left party conference says he wants to bring down the Government, he's not the first either. I doubt that members pay their subs for that reason.
