08:5828862Well I went up on Friday and went to the game on Saturday free tickets very good seats the weather was great it was a very hard game for both sides with Chelsea coming out on top in the end but both of their goals was in ex time one in the first half and one at the very end of the game.Anyway I was with Karen and when I open the matchday magazine there there was a staff profile with a photo of her as you know by this post she is the Stoke City Health coach for aduit male Stoke city supporters this is a new programme set out in the Barclays premier League and at this time only two cubs have it with Stoke one of them,it is a very high profile job in which you will hear and see on the T.V. over the next few weeks.I can now lookward to going to see some very big games now up there, also I will be seeing more of my family .

19:0428893Stoke will be facing yet another defeat in the face then...

Your daughter will be kept busy counselling the players suffering from post traumatic defeat stress disorder.
Crying all the way to their banks with their heavy wallets. Bring back Sir Stanley who played for the love of the game and not the financial rewards.

20:0828895After seeing Stoke and the fans of the club, you can take it from me that Stoke City will be in the top ten in the land this year and next year the top six, they have avery good setup and I can see great things going to happen there over the next five years.I know what you are thinking"Vic you are only saying that because Karen nows works there" Well that is not true, but it did gave me a inside look at the setup, and it is all good just wait and see.

20:2528896Also I do not think that their players are getig the bigest payouts each week, but I DO THINK ALL THE TOP PLAYERS in the land are paid over well over the top.

20:4528897from what i have seen of stoke, they are a very hard working unit, under the control of a good manager.
they clearly have a lot less dosh available than the rest of the premiership clubs, i wish them well.

04:0128900As at June 2009 an average wage for a player was £27k per week or £1.2 million per year. Not bad eh?
Obviously some earn considerably more like Barry of Man City who is on £140k per week
Ronaldo earns £200k per week.
As a matter of interest if one wants to purchase a ticket for Stoke versus Man Utd (classed as an A* game) One also has to purchase another ticket for a B* game at the same time so you have purchase 2 tickets regardless of whether you want to go or not or indeed whether you can attend the match or not. Odd innit?

08:2528914Marek. You are right on that they did tell that at the match to,I think it is trying to help games that will not get a full house,Stoke are not the only club doing it,is it right or wrong to do it,I do not know.

21:2929093i think that stoke have got their pricing right, they need to be full every week to survive.
they are simply saying that supporters must be willing to see the less glamorous games if they want to see the other matches.
west ham had a scheme many years ago whereby people booking seats for the big matches had to produce ticket stubs from a few low key games before being able to purchase.

I had delightful night in River Village Hall last night, Woman's Institute invited me and another ex miner for a talk on mining. We really did have an enjoyable night and are looking forward to returning with slide show next time.

10:0829189Thanks for Mag Vic.
We would come along to any type of hall or meeting to give a talk and slide show on mining. We think it is important to show people what it was really like. If anyone wishes us to give a talk, please contact me?
