Spitting is a filthy habit so well done to Roger, a habit that is possibly as bad as the dog fouling.

I try to be neutral and polite but it is hard and getting even more difficult at times.

Leaflets should be distributed at ports and airports informing people that in Britain, spitting in the street is not allowed and that those who do it will be prosecuted.

Whatever happened to the Street Wardens? Spitting, peeing, dropping gum and other litter, I'm buying some waders to negotiate our streets!

I've just done a Radio Kent interview; also included, were comments from local (Dover) people who, all but one, were disgusted by spitting in the streets. The odd one thought it was O.K. which surprised me as I've never heard of anyone who thought it was O.K. to spit in the street (maybe he's a spitter too).
If people have bad colds, or phlegm on their chests, then they should take a hanky.
