I born here in 1942 and still here today in 2016 that is 73 years. And never did I ever think we would see what we have seen this weekend.

Over many years I have see this town of ours go from being a great town to shop and live in to one of the worst places .Never did I think anyone would hear me talk in this way and some of you will think I am wrong in saying it now, most of what we see has been done by members of the public that do not live here or if they do ,they do not care about how and where they live.We still have some nice shops but some of the public are letting the town down.I say it again if we do nothing to try and stop this happing like in Folkestone rd today we could see the Dover Collage move out of Dover.Would you send a member of your family there if you are paying out £1000s per year and in return they have to put up with kind of thing out side the gates and inside.

Where have you been all day then Howard.? Every news I have seen has reported it including Al Jazeera, RT, Sky, BBC, ITV. The pictures I saw showed a big police presence on Folkestone Rd. just between Priory Station and the Shell garage. Lots of yobs charging at the police.

Again on the main news this morning sad to see Dover yet again in the headlines for the wrong things ,it would be nice to see them talk about the many + there are to the area but that does not make news.

A sad indictment of our times.

I would like to see those who turned up billed for a 100 pounds each to help with the clean up and compo for the loss of trade it caused, and banned from the town center for life.

Vic.
Can I suggest that it is a good idea to read previous threads and postings before starting new ones, this disgraceful event was covered yesterday with informative and interesting comments.

This is the problem with so many strands to the site, people tend to look only at one or two so we get topics double up or not seen by many. I think it is only this one that is restricted to members only.

I cannot find anything that is out of place on any of the sites,

Clearly haven't looked, a glance at the Sea News bit shows articles on the Bluebird Heritage Trail, Dover Pageant, M20 lorry park, A20 improvements, DDC parking charges amongst others.

I am actually shocked at the lack of threads and posts n this subject.
Do I get a whiff of "it wasn't on my doorstep so it doesn't affect me?"

They are a round or about the port even the Dover Pageant is about the port so again nothing out of place with that.

Would be interesting to know what sections members look at, I suspect many look at only one, maybe from time to time looking at one or two of the others.
