I only occasionally look at the Sea News page, the Politics and Dover Forum pages I merged together soon after Keith and Reg left.

I try to be neutral and polite but it is hard and getting even more difficult at times.

I wonder how many have done the merge Jan? I suspect very few as each section seems to have a different line up of posters.

I have merged. I read both sections with interest, but generally try to avoid commenting on the Politics Forum.

I look at Sea News from time to time, but the other sections very rarely.

This is clearly a problem, we have Sea News full of great photos and very knowledgeable posters that probably don't know that there are other sections, others that post on politics don't look in the the main forum and the others nobody seems to be interested in. Food for thought for the hierarchy.

I never remember to look at the Sea News page - is there a clear link to it? Perhaps have a "sticky" thread at the top of page 1 of the Dover Forum?
I never look at the local new comment pages, having just looked, I would say it should be part of the Dover Forum pages anyway.
EDIT
Just found Sea News - part of Blogs

Thanks for the suggestions - although there are links to Sea News, it's not possible to merge with the forums because it's a completely separate website run by PaulB. I'll see what can be done to make it easier to find.
I'll be making some changes to the website over the next few weeks, primarily to make it better on mobile devices and to speed it up, but other updates will follow!
