21:0085360This what I mentioned on the front page, how to get around in the snow. Seen on Worthington St this afternoon, unfortunatley by the time I'd got my camera out I didn't have the best view of the dogs.

14:3285480I heard the gritter lorry was at the bottom of a hill in your area Lorna, and refused to go up this hill because he was finished. A policewoman was telling the 4x4 drivers to take some people home. This is only hearsay so not sure if it is true.

15:0185486It would have been common sense for the gritter lorry to have actually gritted as he was being towed. Bit of a jobs worth maybe.
It always makes me smile when drivers are told to leave their cars at home and either take public transport or walk. No public transport and the pavements are lethal so people either take their cars or are trapped indoors.
Just looked out of the window and it is snowing again.

18:3985518I had contacted Kent Highways lunchtime about gritting in the Town Centre and have had three emails back.
Here they are:
"Roger, the gang came back for more salt after doing by mc d's then headed back to do market sq westwards up canon st should have got there about half hours ago (??)"
"roger, there are so many areas i would like to do but only so many men etc
one that i would have liked to have done today but cant is debradley w area - will try to get a gang there tomorrow to at least tackle any bad footways there."
And finally:
"Have just taken gang off working by maison dieu health centre to go there (Market Sq.) ASAP.

20:1485527An ambulance appears to have become a bit stuck on the corner of my road, in the snow. The paramedic has gone into one of the houses on the other side of the junction - hope they will be ok. Driving ambulances must be one of the least enviable jobs in this weather............

20:2285528that pic of the tree lined avenue is stunning jeane, i was going to say it was haunting but bearing in mind the location resisted the temptation.

20:3485531Bern, the A2 and A13 are pretty clear so you should have no problems (fingers crossed of course.) We had a heavy fall of snow during the day yesterday but none overnight.
I hope the person who needed the ambulance is ok.
Thank you Howard.
