they are all great - the heron is my personal favourite as it must be the only creature of such beauty that you do not have to go to a wildlife park to see.
we have had one in our town centre for the past two christmases.

A few more from Crabble, Kearsney Abbey and Bushy Ruff today. Bushy Ruff was completely iced over and turned into a skating rink for birds. Three herons were watching on from the trees.

Lovely pics, there should be some good opportunities in the sun this morning before it all starts to melt. My digital weather station is currently showing -10 degrees Centigrade in the shade.

Came to the Riverside Centre today with the intention of snow clearing, only to be confronted by a veritable army of volunteers, There was a Town Council employee and masses of Kent College volunteers doing the job for me. Then this world wind of a lady appears with a massive snow shovel she had asked B&Q to donate which they did, she then proceeded to organise the whole sheebang. Who was this lady? Just someone who had accompanied her mother to the centre and saw the need for action so contacted everyone she thought would help including the Highways Agency who are on their way to clear the minibus bays as we speak.
So if you need a job doing I suggest you ask her. By the way she has already been asked to become a Centre volunteer.

Did this lady come complete with face-mask and cape, Ken?

Always happy to oblige. No disrespect intended.
It would be nice to think it was only her charm and the readiness of others that saved the day.
Super! In any case.
