Seafront Groynes to be replaced.

we know about the rejection of the designer centre that ended up in ashford and we all remember the opposition to the big screen.
the same people then complain about dover not moving forward.
there have been no documented problems with the rock groynes in folkestone, tombstoning is a much more serious issue. - 6 April 2014 04:41263454We are again moving away from what I have said nothing to do with a psyche or anything but are they safe to be left like that where young ones play? .I say they are not, they are needed but there was a better way of doing it cost a lot more funding again a lot more but it would have been safe ,But I hope I am wrong time will tell but please do not lets run away over this.I do not think there is anymore to be said about it other than wait and see .Thank you.
- 6 April 2014 08:05263455In the winter storms, and we had many, I believe it was the one on the night of Jan 3/4...the stairwell was washed away from the nearby beach. We featured it on the Sea News page at the time..Since then there has been no access to this beach for anyone, not for the hardy and robust female swimmers who regularly participate, nor for the ruddy faced dog walkers.
On Thursday of this week it was all put right...and lo and behold I saw a family sitting on the beach yesterday. It took a while but all is now restored.
Previously...
The wayward equipment above was recovered and stored... and on Thursday the guys came to fix it all back up again. First I noticed was the head of a crane piercing my visuals, it came right by my window. Gave me several shocks all at once.

By the looks of things they are beginning to pull the heavy equipment out.
As you can see in the pic it was a tight job inching this monster out a short while ago this morning...
