Good luck as ever with the campaign for the DPPT, Neil, and good luck all for the event in Pencester Gardens. The hoped-for success of the DPPT is the last chance for Dover, I fear. It simply has to be the only option.
And good luck with the market, too, David Little. Hope it breathes new life into the town centre, and lifts it out of its present '28 Days Later' vibe.
Onwards and upwards,
Andy

finally got to meet richard of "ss.dover fame", had a brief chat with him and neil about the logistical problems of getting the ship to dover. richard and east kent big hitter david foley in deep discussion here.
town team titan david little with his wife tanya here, notice how david has a tight grip on her to stop tanya getting away.

Well done there Howard...I say well done there...
So good to see that T E Lawrence is taking such a keen interest too. Dig that bag.
Good luck with it all.

So what was the turnout then? How many people went to the event?

Why all the security staff? I counted nine of them, what on earth did they think was going to happen?
I admit I only got there towards the end as I completely forgot about it, perhaps there were massive crowds earlier were there. I doubt it warranted nine security guards though.

Nice picture Howard!
If I'm honest the turnout was disappointing but I hope Neil and the organisers achieved what they set out to.
The music by the youngsters on the bandstand was fantastic, all local kids.

As an event that I don't think was really advertised there was quite a lot of passing traffic
Been nice knowing you :)

That's interesting ,David ,because from where I was standing it looked like a very healthy turn out and a very good atmosphere. It was never going to be a mass rally event, but to let people know it was never a 'done deal' on privatisation, also the queue to sign the 'charter' was constant from before opening up until past the scheduled close of the event. All I can say is well done the young musicians of the L.A. Club and well done Dover.

Was rather Howard when I popped there - quite a lot of people interested in talking, shame it was a short day

Lots of green grass to be seen, most people seem to be waiting for the bus.
