Should I have got a polling card as with general/council elections? I'm pretty sure I didn't.

I could find no independent and verifiable information about any of the candidates. Much of what they and their parties trumpet about their achievements needs therefore to be ignored. We are therefore left with.........nothing on which to base a decision. None of them is known to me and none knocked on my door. The post is unnecessary and expensive to the taxpayer, and a thorn in the side of the chief Constable. Consider me a conscientious abstainer. The whole thing is a farce and a squandering of public money in favour of a party political puppet.

From the little that was known of the candidates I thought Henry Bolton seemed to be more qualified than the others but the Conservative election machine won the day.
