Jan;
of course anyones views welcome
parking permits if one given to each resident/house may not solve the problem
as its a long road and would only remove a few cars
maybe a rethink on that one.
local residents views??

the bus gets through on a now and then basis, which is not only inconvenient for those who cannot climb hills but also means council tax money is being wasted.

Thank you Roger for your kind attention to my concerns. However KCC's response is acceptable but rather silly. there is on the unmade road a semi detatched house with one car and parking for 3 cars at the pub, hardly Hyde Park corner for traffic density. Still I shouldn't really complain as someone said both Karen's and my car are each the width of our house and our next door neighbour has 4 cars. This is what happens when the 19th century(houses) meets the 21st century(living) and its not always easy to balance the two.

Thank You Ken.
I agree that the two don't always work well together (19th. Century houses and 21st. living).
In the 21st.C, we have offspring staying at home for much longer than they used to in the latter part of the 20th.C which will and does, add to the (parkling) problem.
Howard, I understand that sometimes, the bus can't get up there because of cars parked too close to the corners and most if not all of those corners already have double yellow lines.
Sometimes I get complaints about cars parked on corners, then I escalate it up to DDC and KCC and it goes through the Joint Transportation Board (which I sit on)and is either approved or not (usually they are). Sometimes people go direct.
If it is the illegal parking that's causing the problem, then it is a matter of enforcement and the parking services van needs to make more frequent visits.
