Looks like the demo's back on.
Perhaps if there weren't a backlog of 140,000 asylum applicants being put up in hotels (the Southcliff Hotel in Folkestone being the latest) at a cost of £5.6 million per day no-one would be protesting?

Here's some Dover locals on the protest against the protest.
Beccy Sawbridge on the left (amusingly showing a swastika made out of our national flag) was of course the Green candidate at the last two General Elections losing her deposit each time.
I must confess that the first word springing to mind when I saw this was 'eugenics'.

Agenda item 7re applying for grant to provide housing for Asylum seekers .I thought that there were a lot of Dover people wanting accommodation I think we should look at or own homeless people.Im sure there are other parts of the country where there is employment and housing.

Yup? Here's a notice inside a lift in a Folkestone Hotel.
Reason for most of our homeless is mental illness & the fact that having closed down the 'lunatic asylums' that used to house them, replacing them with 'care in the community', they are not taking prescribed medication.
