Welcome from me also, I joined just so that I could comment on one thread now they cant stop me.
Although we are still waiting for our bins I have seen the size of them and that is the problem for so many especially those without a large family.

Thanks for the welcomes. Jan, yes that's another point. I don't have a large family. I'm single and I reckon it would take me about six months to fill my recycling bin. I doubt if there are many large families living in a road of two bedroom terraced houses.
Ive just tried to order the caddy liner from the link on the DDC website and according to the postcode search Dover isnt using food caddys ? I can still buy the liners but I would have thought that whoever at the council set up the weblink would have checked it out first !

From what I hear on the grapevine the bio degradable caddy liners cost upwards of around £20
I hope the information I've been given is wrong

I have heard that as well, I have also been told that Morrisons sell them but do not know for sure.

The price was £2.50 with a 3 for 2 offer , but it dosnt say how many on a roll and I gave up before I checked delivery charges .

You can use newspaper, according to the bumf which came with the caddy.

Whilst staying in Weymouth a few months back, locals wrap their unwanted food in newspaper then place in said caddy, I do the same
