Paul by all means I approve your meeting as it's a good idea.
You asked me to attend, and so was giving the reason why instead of doing that, I'm waiting the outcome of the decision of the Decision Minister.
Neil, just between brackets so as not to divert from the thread and the meeting Paul is holding on 8th August, my representation is substantial, quite obviously attempting to explain why the DHB submission doesn't meet the said criteria.
On this we must surely agree, that it doesn't satisfy Dover.
So included are some examples of required regeneration in Dover, with the added statement that each example presented is an issue that has been considered locally by residents and councillors alike as pertaining to Dover's needs for regeneration.
Among these issues, the Western Heights SAM.
The only one thing I know for sure is that the intentions on my part are not negative for Dover. However, we cannot just see all this drag on, the DfT has to come to a decision, not in 5 years time, but now.
There is no reason why Western Heights should not benefit from funding in the context of regeneration, so quite clearly, we need substantial funding, not some inadequate one-off sum followed by an annual pittance in dividends.
As for the meeting next week, I hope it is fruitful, Paul
At least you know that my non-participation is not out of hostility towards WHPS.
