Well done with all the work you do as well Roger. The overgrown shrubs etc have been cut back in Salisbury Road did you have words in the right ear or was it a coincidence they were done shortly after I mentioned them on this forum.

I try to be neutral and polite but it is hard and getting even more difficult at times.

Thanks Jan.
Kent Highways advise the houseowners that their overgrown shrubs are a danger to pedestrians and request they cut them back - if they don't within a time-frame; KHS do it and charge the house owner.

Sue and Roger, the person spoke to me about the problem, so I contacted DDC straight away, the authority does not deal with this problem it is contracted out, so had to contact them instead

They do deal with it Sheila; I had cause to contact Env. Health about maggots in another house in the Clarendons - they contacted the landlord and he had to put it right.
If the property is owned by DDC, that's a different matter, they will call in contractors, but they (DDC) will be the responsible people for putting it right.

Thanksd Howard.
There were cars in their back yard (where that photo was taken of) a couple of days ago; there was also lots of piled-up purple and black bags to the right. I couldn't take a picture as I didn't have my camera with me, but I'll take a look this morning. It has sometimes been difficult to understand just how much rubbish they could accummulate there and not care about it with so many children there.
