I'm hearing on the grave vine from back bench tories that the bob frost interview is taking place next week, will be interesting to see the outcome, the local conservatives im sure will have to (rightly or wrongly_) but if they keep bob on im sure other political parties and the conservative who reported him in the fitst instance(wayne elliot) won't be happy and will continue to dig.
I'v also just been informed that the county council leadership contest will take place on 21st october where nick chard will be challenging paul carter for the leadership.
the infighting goes on,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

All you politicians are as bad as each other and hardly ever (or should I say if ever) give an accurate assessment just you own right/left version.
Those of us with even a partial brain 'try' and work out the answers for ourselves and ignore most of what you all waffle on about.

howard;
the forum is made up of many posters from many differing backgrounds, my contributions just being one of them.
getting back to the original thread, the election for leader at county hall wil;l be a hard fought one, im sure nick chard who comes across as slick operator will be a good challenger for the leader post
the tory group can decide to stick with what they know(paul carter) or go with some one new
its clear that chard will be a good challenger, and will have a lot of support, also ousted from the cabinet is long serving sarah holyer, both replaced by newer members.
theres some interesting stuff going on there internally.
on the dover issue, im sure we all look forward to the local conservatives sharing with us the action they have taken with regard to bob.
charlie; i welcome everyone's contributions(even yours lol) i would not be disresprectful to you, but welcome your comments as i do everyone from whatever political, or non political backgrounds.

on the kent county council thread i mentioned that dover and deal has 6 councillors at maidstone but we know little of what goes on there.
from an outsiders point of view it appears that there is a lot of in fighting, with people jockeying for positions whilst services are being cut that hurt the taxpayers that put them there.

KS's first paragraph is totally wrong & I believe libellous towards Wayne Elliott.
The second paragraph is inaccurate with both date & misses out another candidate.

didn't see anything libellous paul, the wording may be incorrect but councillor eliott has been voiceferous over the issue and been quoted in the local media.

thankyou for your re assurance howard
maybe if the local conservatives came to a decision on bob this would all blow over very quickly
with regard to county hall i'm wel aware of other candidates, i raised just one of them (nick chard) who like sarah holyer had been removed by paul carter, so they have an axe to grind

It would have blown over already had it not been for a couple of Bob 's political opponents stirring the pot.

PETER;
I'm sure the local tories would hope it will all blow over and all be forgotten, but with the pressure of his employers decision(rightly or wrongly)
david camerons wish for the local party to act
and local opinion
it wont blow over until the local tories announce the final outcome
to let it drag it on will do them no justice

paulw;
having done a little more homework on the above issue i can confirm the following;
1' the local tories it looks like are hoping it will all go quiet and mr frost issue will
go away, best advice i can give is that thwe sooner they can come to a decision the sooner it will go away
2; with regard to the smoke screen put up by mr watkins and his libel comment
if mr elliott has been misquoted by the local media thn he realy should have
taken this up with them some time ago, his comments were clear.
3; i wont be silenced by mr watkins who has from time to time attempted to do so
and never has it happened but nice try paulw
4; the county tories were to have the agm and elect its leader on the 21st
they have since decided to hold a special meeting on the 14th oct
so i paulw was correct,but my info was correct at time of writing but has
since been updated which is fine
none of this gets away from the smokescreen by mr watkins of the troubles within the local conservative parties at district and county levels

Howard, it would have been safer if the name was not mentioned, unless Keith is 100% sure of course.
Paul Watkins could easily have cleared things up but instead chose to post a complaint.
