This can happen when the party and a candidate disagree in the last minute: the electorate become confused.
Apart from that, in general, in Folkestone Road not one UKIP flyer entered my letterbox, which goes to show that UKIP did not even attempt to harangue people to vote for them.
I've always noted this half-heart approach of UKIP in this area since 2010, to shy away from public speeches, from trying to convince people in public.
It's one of the reasons I didn't continue, because I'm the sort of person who'd get out and harangue people in a hall, or from a podium on a village green
All I ever saw was the UKIP committee shying away and doing NOTHING!
