The UKIP jibe seems rather justified. After all you have a 'flag' Guzzler, but, because you wear it as a jacket, you deny employment to a Pole.

Come on lets hear the name of the councillor, he/she is a public servant funded by taxpayer's money, we have the right to know what type of people are representing us.

How so, what PG? Do flags not have general association with poles? Or must I employ

to denote wit?

I seems you may have to 'run up' an extra order of your Patriotic jacket for a certain councillor Guzzler, I'm sure he/she will appreciate the 'Goodwill' gift from an anonymous donor

Hang on a minute ............ what about Gerrie Halliwell (posh spice) and all the people who wore union jack outfits during the olympics?
Does this mean they are all these things too??
What a stupid comment to make.
I love our flag and love to see it being worn - we are British and proud of it

There's always a little truth behind every "Just kidding", a little emotion behind every "I don't care" and a little pain behind every "I'm ok".

Jacqui. they may have worn union flag outfits at the Olympics, The jack is from where the flag is hoisted, sorry for being perdantic, but it is very annoying to hear it called the union jack flag.

I am not in any way disputing what you say humphy but along with many others I have called the flag the Union Jack since my childhood so will continue to do so.

i suspect that like myself the majority were brought up thinking it was the "union jack", it was referred to thus on t.v. and in the
papers.
we all know now that is in fact the "union flag" but old habits die hard, i still call mumbai - bombay and kolkata - calcutta.
