JAN;
I';m happy to say i'm political no problem there,
but often people will say just as you are that i make things political which isn't the case.
Also others, to name but a few, roger, barryw, paulw, peter, will make comments that are heavily political and i note you and others choose not to say anything about there postings.
But if you are unbiased and fair you would do so.
And that's fine,
PETER;
I don't disagree with your viewpoint in total, but for everyone it is not so simple, nor is it that easy.
groups like you state have been around for years operating around the District, doing many of the jobs that the District/county councils fail to do for whatever reason. i run one such club as a volunteer myself.
AND there are loads more.
But, yes it can built upon, if we can change society, but sadly thats the sticking point, we need a big culture change, but that is some way off.

I hope I am not biased and apologise if I come across that way and my post was tongue in cheek hence the smileys.
I admit to not reading all of Barry's posts, I find a lot of them too predictable. Sorry Barry

Mr.Cameron said the ``Big Society``would receive all his Passion.
Citizens Advice Bureaus are facing closure all over England due to the cuts drastically removing funds.
Charities all over England are suffering for the same reason.
Charities/Volunteers are the Core element of any chance of a ``Big Society``
Clash of Policies again. We will be needing another `U` turn because the State is no longer picking up the pieces.
