Well as previously mentioned George Galloway is a strange one to chose. When he wasnt kissing Saddam Husseins rear end, ( in some countries he would have been arrested for treason) he was lapping it up cringeingly on national TV. During all this he was supposedly representing... Bethnal Green I think it was, but he failed to turn up hardly ever where representation is supposed to happen..ie The House of Commons. He is not a constituency man, he is a headline grabber, a lover of limelight.
People voting for him make a mistake. Captured as they are by his pseudo bandwagon of concern on muslim issues..he is noisey, gets media attention, but then tires of it all..and pointedly gets bored when the headline writers move on.
I can well believe he mistook Blackburn for Bradford. A reporter asked one of his group if George lived in the constituency..yes he does, came the reply..he is staying with one of my friends.

Stuff is lost as well as won.
Who (in their right mind) would say that voting in either the Red or the Blue would have been better?
if Democracy is anything surely it is the absolute right to disagree?
Which elected MP for the Blue or Red does not wish to be a minister, which Government minister spends the most time sorting out their Constituents drainage problems?
"The War had to start without me because my constituent is convinced his/her green-bin issue should come first."?
Why would having a retired GP/Surgeon as MP help? If, when you visit that MP's surgery you are fobbed-off with "There's a lot of it about." ?

if a standard red/blue candidate had been voted in the people in the constituency would at least have someone to contact, galloway will go nowhere near bradford again, and he does not answer letters.

Is the Standard of the Reds and Blues furled-up and tucked away?
Is the Westminster village another Brigadoon?
The "grandfathers' axe" of established politics cuts nothing for the electorate of, or the voters of, Bradford.
Has there never been a thread here bemoaning the lack of traction between the electorate and their representative at Parliament?
Does the cat-suit trump the moat, the bell-tower, the duck-house and the porn movie?
