Totally non-political comment Keith. I would have said the same about Batman and Robin.

Labour are now occupying campaigning territory that the Tories should have already achieved during their government, but decided not to.
UKIP are now saying that Labour have proven that UKIP were right all along with regards to open-door immigration.
If Ed Miliband follows Socialism all the way along the road, he will be telling the Country that we need Democracy, an EU in/out referendum and a Government that is there to administer to the needs and rights of its OWN People.
That combined with good relations with other countries on a FAIR trade bases, with good cultural relations on equal terms, and the necessity that a Government is voted by its own People and cannot put the interests of other people in front of their own People, would be the realisation of Socialism.
If he does this, then he will have a very large consensus among the electorate.

I know Terry can stand up for himself very ably, but I've never known him to be political - one of the most apolitical people I have ever known.

Yes of course I have "views", but they are not dominated by blind party dogma. When I vote, I vote on the main issue at the time and my view on it irrespective of what party puts that view forward.
Thus it is that in my life I have always voted for what I consider to be the most sensible party. If it were polling day next Thursday I would be hard pushed to know who to vote for.
As Roger says, that's about as apolitical as you can get.

All party dogma is wrong. But some parties' dogma is more wrong than others. I vote for people whom I know; and whom I trust to do their best for their constituents; and whom I beilieve will be less influenced by dogma and more by common sense.

last i read from keith on here was that he would be campaigning against the reds at the next general election due to his disquiet over the selection process.

Keith is campaigning for Labour voters to abstain or spoil their ballots in protest against the women-only shortlist. If he really wants to make his mark, I believe a better way would be for him to stump up the £500 deposit and stand as an independent socialist candidate. Reg might even help him out with the dosh.......
