As I began my #78...
"Well David, if Howard is right,..."
I do not jump about, I simply keep my eye on the ball.
P.S.
It is a well known dictum of internet discussion that he who is first to mention the Nazis yields. Godwin's Law...
"Godwin's law (also known as Godwin's Rule of Nazi Analogies or Godwin's Law of Nazi Analogies[1][2]) is an observation made by Mike Godwin in 1990[2] that has become an Internet adage. It states: "As an online discussion grows longer, the probability of a comparison involving Nazis or Hitler approaches 1."[2][3] In other words, Godwin observed that, given enough time, in any online discussion—regardless of topic or scope—someone inevitably makes a comparison to Hitler or the Nazis."

Tom, in a debate about foreign criminals in UK you introduce racism, little Englanders and show trials in Soviet Russia.
Not for the first time you've lost the plot completely

You certainly work hard David at showing just who the fool is.

Don't worry David, the habit of untruthfully accusing your debating opponents of holding extreme and unreasonable views has been considered beyond the pale since the time of the ancient Greeks. Tom works hard to hone this to a fine art however.

if they have no concerns about it being scrapped then they should be proposing an alternative. furthermore as the opposition party they should be taking the government task rather than hiding in the corner hoping no-one will notice them.

no keith they have made no input in this debate, the old problem of not listening to their core support will cost the reds dear again.
