Last time I went for 3seats at one time+one a few weeks later.
But in May how many will I go for this time, will it be (1)None.

Will it be(1) or(2)or (3) or(4) or(5) or (6) or even yes (7) it will be one of them but which one?

Is this a new lottery game Vic. Do we win a prize ??
I will have to go for lucky Dover 7..although surely that wont be possible.

Well you cannot stand for more than one District Council seat ,and only one seat on River Parish Council and one on the Town so you must be going over to some other.Parish
I think you are lucky to qualify for a Town Council Seat .

One DDC seat, one Town Council seat, River parish council - - - - - - - and every other parish council within 4.8 kilometres of Sanctuary Close, River.
Look out Temple Ewell and Lydden, Alkham, Capel, Whitfield, Coldred, Eythorne and maybe even St Margarets. If he goes ahead and does it, it will be an insult to the voters.

not only would it be an insult to the voters, it would make it clear it's desperation on vic's part.
not interested in the seat he's standing in, but just standing in desperation of winning somewhere, anywhere!!!
that of course -will backfire on him

I totally agree with you Keith.
He is insulting the electorate and I hope he gets punished at the polls accordingly.
This is all to do with ego, the thread and his political ambitions.

Barryw
yes, i'v told vic directly he's making a mockey of elections.
not only this vic should look after his ailing health
and of course his supporting wife/family
i'v told vic he would be better not standing, and using all his abilities in the voluntary sector making a difference, but as i'v said before that's vic choice.
I probably have a soft spot for vic not wanting to see him humiliated in all the polls
I saw how down he was at the general election believing the electorate he spoke to that he would be the MP and getting just 660 votes
Vic is passionate and i suppose we need people like him in the local community,
but im sure he could achieve so much more if he didnt go through elections, or make dcecisions like that one at the end of the
Town hall meeting, as i told him after it was a big error of judgement, being there and standing behind him when he made that decision, he isolated himself from over 400 people, certainly you pick your fights, this was the wrong one

Very true Keith. I too have a bit of a soft spot for Vic despite harsh words said to him at times. He needs some straight talking advice but he clearly does not take it.

660 votes is not to be sneezed at. Yes it may be six short of the magic number, but if a few of his UKIP supporters were to join him, what then? If the good folk take it into their heads that it might just be worthwhile voting if only to say, "a plague on both your houses" it is no more than the big-two deserve. Delegate, Vic, delegate.

Ay barryw
yes i talk with vic on a fairly regular basis, and can only see total humiliation at the polls for vic.
No good not winning and keep on looking at defeat as a win.
I try to help VIC but as you say barryw
VIC is VIC

i see that vic and ukip have the establishment on the run again as evidenced by the aggressive posts aimed at putting him down.
let's look at the facts.
the blues know that his party eats into their votes and marginal seats go to the reds.
the reds fully expected disenchanted yellow voters to jump ship to them, not so, many now see the protest vote as going the way of ukip.
negative campaigning never works, as seen at the last election when dave was expected to get a majority.

660 votes compared to 25,000 the winner got is a fair dfference
so it was a poor result for vic and he admitted so.
howard;
you will note if you read my posts that i don't attack vic, i have tried to advise him face to face, on here, or any other oppo-rtunity,
vic in a council chamber would liven things up, but i suspect achieve little.
you only have to oook sat his outburst at the end of the Town hall meeting to see that.
Vic will always be vic, and i applaud him for sticking at, but just look at tyhe other end of the coin.
Philip king the ex leader of lib dems on DDC stood i think 8 times in a then safe tory seat, each time eroding the tory vote, until he actually won the seat, he did that by quietly working with his community.
he then added 8 other lib dems.
But since his departure the lib dems(even before the last gen election)went into meltdown in the district and went down to 2 cllrs and only one those 2 seats in whitfield through very dubious leaflets in whitfield.
the lib dems were always very good at community politics, but they appear to have lost that, we now have a long list of protest parties including ukip
all will affect outcomes in elections, but few (if any)winning seats

Keith, I do not argue otherwise.
Yet, a week IS a long time in politics and if a tiny number of those 660 or others were to take the recent by-election result to heart...who knows?
It is fairly plain even from the distance I am from all things Dover that Vic's voice is but slight compared to that of the main stream party adherents and I do not doubt that to be heard more effort is given to volume than to coherence, but this is no reason for the electorate to be left with a binary choice at the polls.
At local and national level party politics is way too cosy for the common good and if it falls to Vic to stir things up, so be it. I only hope that he learns to spread the fun around.

A projection on a spread sheet would show that December's results in terms of percentages - albeit with a 16% turnout - will not substantially deflect.
The formula is: =B4+$C$6. Dollar is an absolute symbol in the formula, meaning that C6 will remain the same; where-as B4, the turnout, could vary.
=B4+$C$6 can be extended to any number of totals in any other column on the spread sheet, so if there are seven columns (column =1seat*voters), the result will be substantially identicle, this owing to the absolute $C$6. Because of its being absolute, it cannot and will not vary!
