11:0078906Yes It is a nightmare .I think the St Radigunds area have the worst deal Pehaps Vic you would like to travel on the bus when the schools turn out .I counted sixty pupils from River going on the school bus however not all use the school buses .THe Children from St Radigunds have to use the service bus .

11:5978914I thought any bus service was a nightmare during school run times, a time to be avoided if at all possiblepossible.
The trouble is cars do block driveways on a regular basis even here in Salisbury Road. I have lost count of the number of times my driveway has been blocked by parents waiting to collect their little dears from school.
My other grouch are cars deliberately parking on the pavement, selfish b......s, pavements are for people not b....y cars.

Rant over I feel better now.

12:0079056I seriously can't believe that some people are pouring cold water on Dover Athletic's fantastic achievement on Saturday by trotting out gripes about traffic congestion, scoring petty political points, etc. I utterly despair.
Dover Athletic Football Club is the absolute beating heart our community, the only source of the feelgood factor in our rotten borough and the only place where you'll see people of all ages mixing and gathering in huge numbers (we took 2,500 fans to Gillingham - incredible!) and enjoying themselves. It's a true hub of the people - just like football clubs used to be and should still be.
Let no killjoys put that asunder. My poor old battered and neglected hometown has got virtually nothing else left.
Thank you, DAFC - we love you and we're proud of you.
Forza Dubris Libre.

12:0879059Well said Andy
and I have said on here many times im sure if Sue and/or the DDC talked to =Dover footy club 'm sure they could work with each other
As you say we should be congratulatng Dover FC for bringing in 1000 people each home game.
There are issues out there, but they can be overcome
and im sure the board would be happy to talk to sue or who ever.
But gettng back to the POSITIVE thread headline
This was a fantastc day for Dover footy club, but also Dover as a whole,
The pub in gillingham was packed solid lol
but both set of fans showed how well behaved they cAN be
lots of banter, but all friendly.
Also the footy club hit the national papers/TV this has to be a good thing
doesn't it?
Now Dover at home next round probably a big crowd i hope Sue can accept
the club is growing and look to the positives

To be fair to the footy club, they can only manage the area around the ground, and I know the stewards do all they can in and around the ground.
As to the rugby club, they to are riding high in the league, again we should be congratulating them.
This siituation is no different to what you would find outside of any school monday to friday 0800 to 0915 and 2 25 to 4pm I live close to 5 schools, one being in my road, but I choose to tolerate, and any movements to help to ease the situation I try to help.

13:1779079And you are right there Keith at is the same at River even on Sundays going to the Church but I like to see lots of the public in and out of cars in the Parish and seeing all the football at weekends even on a Sunday.I just wish we could get more going into the Mill ,we need lots more support to keep it open .

13:4979086OK.
It's not really my sort of thing (whatever that is) but it's brilliant that people support a local club rather than a multi-national corporation exploiting child labour to provide the latest 'strip'.. (Tesco v Sainsbury = Man United v Chelsea)
When's the next game. How do I get a ticket?
