You are catching on fast then Gary - he was in charge of UK fiscal policy for 13 terrible years of mismanagement creating a massive deficit during the part of the economic cycle in which he should have closed it. But, the one thing Brown can get credit for was resisting Blair's pressure to join the Euro. If he had caved in then we would be in the same position as Spain without being able to allow currency to take part of the strain.

# 37..``What we are seeing is the usual idiotic scare stories from those who are desperate to preserve the European
project``.....there were a `few` people in 1937 saying what Vince Cable is saying.....were they ``idiotic``
Today Cameron has said Scotland should not leave the United Kingdom because together we are ``safe``.........the same
applies to Europe.....................
....is our `right winger`` saying Cameron is using......`` the usual `idiotic` scare stories of those who are desperate to preserve
the United Kingdom project ?..............
