Lovely pic
Funny how the clouds above the bird is simulating it and the pair of lips in the middle lol Might be my active imagination this cold morning

I noticed that too David but of course only after I took the picture. There was no preparation involved in the shot I just stuck my nose (and camera) outside the windown for a few seconds and pressed the button as its tooooo cold brrr!
I'll reproduce it again for easy assimiliation for the next guys coming along as its now slipped over onto the other page..easy to do that, just use the same code.

I suspect we will avoid serious disruptive snow in the short term although there is a possibility of showers on Friday and at the weekend anything could happen, with an Atlantic depression meeting cold air amid great uncertainty over the precise outcome.
Fair to say that if you are travelling any distance at the weekend it is wise to keep checking forecasts.
Europe is really in the freezer - minus 15 in parts of West Germany last night for example - much rarer there than you might imagine.

-6 in Belgium this morning, that was cold enough for me. But at least it's dry and sunny for the time being.

puddles are icing over already, best to stay in doors tonight unless there is a pressing need to go out.

My pond was only partially frozen this morning with the fish huddled together,
Now it's totally frozen.

A tennis ball, or similar, left to bob about the pond is said to keep it from freezing over. Nice shot of the c-c-coldfish there too.

Beautiful photo though John. No slush, just one set of tyre tracks.
I'd say to anyone that over night, keep the heating on, but low, to stop any freezing of pipes and keep a bit warmer too.

Yes good advice about the heating.
Lovely pictures lads...you have to go out and freeze yer assets to get shots like that. Nobody dining out in that pub there. Once or twice Ive dun the alfresco bit in those pubs...but not that day pictured...nosirreee.

What fantastic photos the one of the seafront would make a stunning Xmas card , much though I like the wintery scene I really hope we dont have a return to the deep snow of last year
