I don't disagree! However, with DDC's Local Plan, the Leader of the Opposition and our current MP (whose recent speech in the HoC criticised the Budget for not helping house building), there's not a lot of hope...

Sent off a response to the Pencester changes last year and recently received a reply basically refuting any of my comments.
At the end of the letter it says
"If we do not hear back from you within the next 14 days your objection to the revocation of the existing one-way Order and the extension and amendment of the existing waiting restrictions as detailed in the consultation will be withdrawn."

I had exactly the same letter- which simply goes to show what a farce this whole consultation process is. Basically they will simply keep asking for another response until people get totally fed up and eventually give up. Then they go ahead anyway……
The consultation about the cameras on the new road consists of one question but in order to get to it you have to jump through hoops and it simply asks if you support or not……another waste of time.
I’m totally disillusioned and disappointed in what is supposed to be a democratic process…..unless you have the temerity to disagree with what is being proposed! I don’t know why we waste our time.

Seems it boils down to support the idea or shut up as they will ignore and delete any negative comment.

Q. Is Back to the Future (1985)suitable for a 10 year old?
A. It should come as little surprise that Steven Spielberg executive-produced Back to the Future. Like so many of his films, it manages to blend heady science fiction, humor, adventure, and romance while retaining an exuberance and a sense of wonder

Interestingly, what I thought was going to be a quiet bridleway/bus route from DOY Guston to the B&Q roundabout, is going to be built two lanes wide with room for a central reservation for traffic turning off it as the land either side is earmarked for industrial development (owners HMG and CityCourt).
The only piece in this section that will be FASTRACK only will be the last 100 yards at the DOY end, forcing Dovorians to drive further to Whitfield.

I can think of many better ways that this money could have benefited Dover.
