As I’ve stated previously, when this point has been raised I’ve been informed that the bus services and Fastrack aren’t linked!! I think it’s a total waste of money but hey ho when has that ever deterred DDC!

I agree Arthur a complete waste of money. Far to many needless grandiose schemes from both central and local government, if there is money to spare at least let it be on something that will actually be needed.

It is a shame that that fast track cannot include the rest of the town..
If it went from Aycliffe to Whitfield, who sadly lost three of there evening buses, and use joined up thinking other buses from other parts of the town could link up with it. It would means other residents of Dover could get to Whitfield.
I also believe that the Dover Leisure was built at Whitfield because of good transports links..
Seems that these have been eroded..

That may be one of the excuses they used, but most think the real reason was as an incentive to the potential buyers on the new Whitfield estate!

Does anyone know what the timetabled frequency will be on Fastrack each day, and the times of the first and last journeys?
(PS: I'm still intrigued about Whitfield being on course to lose evening services from the 61. The reasons I use the car to visit no.2 son in Dover of an evening are a) I'm too lazy to walk there and back and b) there aren't any buses going down after 18:25.)

I think from my recollection the buses were meant to be running every 20 minutes and going on until late evening- but I may have to confirm that.

Cannot read it Bob.Not interested in Fast Track Bus Services Just need a decent service for River .So when a ten minute journey takes you all round the houses .Competing with prams and pushchairs .Its a night mare.Trip to Canterbury down to Dover then bus back from whence you came .From my home fifteen walk to the main road .Im lucky to walk to the Local Coop .

If DDC is chasing funding then find out from bus users what it is they want

Not walked up the Roman Road for 4 weeks due to my holiday and just done the circuit, looking good
loving the "new" bits of Dover Road
should look nice when the electric buses run empty due to the price of charging them means the tickets are extortionate, if anyone was going to use them in the first place.....
I love this country but it's let me down so much I'm now ashamed to be British, just glad my children have EU passports as well....
