The flooding excuse was just that an excuse not to build in middle of town. The ground level could easily have been parking then the working hospital above, flooding problem solved.
I will believe in our new hospital when it is actually up and running.

Thanks for your support Bern . You are a star
I , for one, remember saying at the time that if we can put a man on the moon then surely we could solve the towns water level problem. So until a brick has been laid ''it aint over til the fat lady stops singing'' Unlike the port that after a referendum the people of Dover voted in favour of PP. Thats sorted Vic..its over, done, comprendez?

Endoscopy has been transferred to K&C.

The shorter opening hours are on a month's trial. It won't be agreed until the proposal is discussed on Wednesday
Is this similar to the principles used in "consultations" with the public?
In the NHS a "trial" is the public name for a done deal

a bit annoyed about the endoscopy unit being open a year ago.

In the corridor between outpatients and minor injuries at Buckland there is a huge fire hose. Above it used to be a notice "Endoscopy Unit". Always used to make me chuckle.

My understanding was that the hospital went to the Buckland site because there was a time limit on the funds - they would only be available for two years and two years have passed and nothing achieved; it could be at least a year before a plannining application is submitted and the flood-plain - yes it was a real problem, not an excuse, will be resolved quite soon, so it could come back to mid-town and bring enormous benefits to everyone.
This is only my personal view, not an official one.

Roger that can not happen how many times are we going to keep coming back to this one,go to some of the meeting find out for your self going to the Buckland site had nothing to do with any time limits,I would like to know where some of you get all this from, the hold up I know nothing about as yet,but Buckland is where it is going and that is the only place it will go. Some of the hold ups in the pass must be down to us the public and our leaders by trying to get it put in a place it could never go.
