18:1868882I completely disagree - about B & Q being the start of killing the Town.

18:3268886The butcher in the Charlton Centre said some time ago he has seen new faces since Morrisons opened.
I think some people visit this end of town more, not the Pencester end, I know I do not go that far as often as I used to.
With regards to the B&Q question. How many times does a person visit a DIY store in comparison to the number of times they visit a supermarket.

I try to be neutral and polite but it is hard and getting even more difficult at times.

18:3768889The evidence is there for all too see. The B&Q car park was as empty in the Charlton postition as it is now as the end of another road to nowhere. So, relocating it hasn't changed matters much for B&Q it appears.
On the other hand, the arrival of Morrisons has, on the evidence of an almost constantly full car park, rejuvenated that part of town.
So, my conclusion is, thank heavens Diane and Keith lost the vote.

18:4068891in some ways the b & q move helped the town.
i always bought my plants(house and garden),seeds and bulbs etc from them.
since they left my money is spent in 3 small shops that never used to stock them.
