Yes you are right, it's a storm in an eggcup.

Are national sports teams granted a 'right' to use the three lions of England etc.?
I wonder if they do this because it is only right that they do so as they are representing the nation, but is some Pursuviant or other involved?
Why can it be infeasible for teams representing Deal to use "Ye Olde Emblem"?

I am still utterly incredulous that some sclerotic busybody with a nasty little mind and far too much time on their hands actually went out of their way to raise this non-issue of Deal's town crest, wreaking needless financial outlay and hours of wasted time for organisations like Deal Town Football Club, who could really do without this sort of burden.
As for the town's 'authorities', the way they immediately clicked into headless chicken mode and kow-towed to this idiocy without taking a measured, commonsensical view of things speaks volumes really.
But to whichever bumptious niggardly know-all was responsible for Deal's pointless 'Crest-gate', here's a little message: go and volunteer, help people, serve some positive purpose for your community and do something good and useful to fill the dark hours of your sorry existence.

It does appear that this storm in a tea cup may well have come from the fall out within the football where two sets of people wanting to run the club fell out.
