Who on earth was the idiot who complained? The name should be revealed.

That's one thing I find about deal, it's full of do gooding buggers who complain about the slightest of thing for example if you place your rubbish out 30 seconds before collection or if you so happen to sneeze at 26mph insted of 25 lol

Do Gooders!! What an inappropriate expression for these busybodies. can we not have some imaginative suggestions for alternative names for them (keeping it clean...)

6, I meant the Town Council, Keef, the FC are just victims of the council's incompetence.

There is not much to go in the story, and the Devil is sure to be in the detail.
Apart from what is actually meant by 'illegal' in this context it all comes down to whether this matter is entirely at the disposal of the College of Arms.
It would be a great pity indeed if the Town of Deal could not just follow it's Motto:Adjuvate Advenas, and befriend this stranger (in the form of the coat of arms) and have done with it.
Ignorance is bliss, bliss is happiness, I am happy...to draw your attention to the possible connectivity in the foregoing.

I think its what you believe in peter;
For me Iv always said 3 councils in our towns is to costly and to many and 1 atleast should go
but i also believe decisions should be made at the lowest level possible.
So town councils given more powers/work and doing away with district or county and cascading these decisions downwards is a way forward

This is bureaucracy gone made, to those involved I'd say keep using the Coat of Arms and blow anybody who complains.

It beggars belief that money will have to be spent satisfy the need of the pedantic pr*ck that complained, money that the Council and the Football club can ill afford, surely there are bigger problems than this in Deal?

Two solutions here -
1 Deal should re-annexe Walmer - it's hardly a separate entity anyway.
2 There should be a competition for a new coat of arms with local business sponsors bearing the cost as a commitment to the community. And as Roman soldiers and Marines are no longer seen in the town perhaps we should look for two more up-to-date icons - I hesitate to post my suggestions for fear of being banned or ending up in the nationals again.
