A picture similar to this one was put in the Dover Mercury today (page 6). We'd just had loads of fun at the Minster Carnival playing games after the parade and I even did the sack race (first time in 30 years, I mean at my age

)

My joints already creak Brian, obviously not lubricating them with enough alcohol

I do not waste good alcohol by rubbing it (or at least almost never

) And this is getting away from the real issue here which is my wonderful girls (and I'm not just talking about my daughters cos all the carnival girls are mine in a way).

Only two days to go.
Politics, it seems to me, for years, or all too long, has been concerned with right or left instead of right or wrong.

Thank you Alan, that will be wonderful.
A bit of an extra, my 4 year old daughter will be an honorary rosebud for the day in full dress so if you've a soft spot for very cute little girls in long pretty dresses (in a purely platonic way of course, and I really hate that I just had to write that.

) then come and see us. More photos will be spread all over this page as soon afterwards as I can get on the computer.

Sorry which part? I wasn't trying to be offensive and whilst I would never dream of insinuating anything about members of this forum whom I know are all upstanding members of the community anyone can read these posts without being a member and unfortunately in this day and age I have to be careful about what I say.

national express seem to have no problems with diverting their coaches for the carnival.

The national express are obviously a more civic minded service. I do apologise for the inconvenience and as a mother of 4 children, all of whom are in school, I would prefer the parade to be on a Saturday but this is the day we were told was available and I would prefer a parade on Sunday than no parade at all.
Please don't let the fact that it's on a Sunday put you off. The weather is supposed to be absolutely beautiful tomorrow. The girls will be beautiful, the cream of Kent young womanhood and the parade itself will be fab. CJs Cheerleaders will be taking part too and we all know how wonderful they are.

All those I mentioned it to at the shop knew it was on.

I try to be neutral and polite but it is hard and getting even more difficult at times.

Today's the day guys. It's bedlam in my house at the moment with all three of my girls asking when they get to put their pretty dresses on and when are we going etc. What fun eh?
Hope to see loads of you there on this beautiful day, hopefully by 6pm the sun won't be quite so hot lol!

Ladies and Gentlemen, I am pleased to announce that Dover Carnival Association will be putting on their 130th Anniversary Illuminated Parade on the 2nd October 2011. The parade starts at 6pm from Russel Street carpark and will be travelling through Market Square, Biggin Street, Ladywell and Maison Dieu Road.

There's always a little truth behind every "Just kidding", a little emotion behind every "I don't care" and a little pain behind every "I'm ok".
