We held one in Temple Ewell today/A few people called in
Do you think there would be a better attendance if it had been announced on here before you held it ?

A good point well made. Great that surgeries are being held, pants that they are not publicised as much as possible.

I am at a loss to know why the topic was posted in the first place there seems to be no point to it as there is no information.
I was at the shop today is equally useless.

Wouldnt the Forum have been a useful addition to the other publicity ? As its used to say the event has happened

i get continually told by people locally that they find out what is happening by looking in here.
witness the way that blue barry, paul wells and others start threads on events they are running updating them nearer the time.
That was my point exactly Howard , if its worth posting to say an event has happened its worth posting to say an event will happen
It works well. A good, and creative, use of a local resource. I have no idea why it isn't used more often by more people and groups.

i have informed susan many times of this sarah, she chooses to tell of every event she knows about after it has happened.
the first post "a few people called in" says it all.

Sarah and Howard I am in complete agreement.
With respect to Sue, self promotion again was my first thought.

As I am very fond of Councillors, what they do, how they do it. what they achieve, actually what powers they have to achieve anything
I suggest that all Councillors Surgeries are publicised on this forum

Only yesterday I was talking about councillor surgeries in the DTC office as we are trying to encourage all town councillors to hold them.
For my part I am looking to find a morning that I can set aside each week in order to be in the office for a couple of hours for anyone that has any questions, concerns or just wants a chat. We do now have a very comfortable, and quite discreet, area where we can do this.
Politics, it seems to me, for years, or all too long, has been concerned with right or left instead of right or wrong.

at present we have a decent set of town councillors all the ones that i know have the good of the town at heart.
chris, stewart and sheila are seen regularly in the town chatting with all and sundry.
pat s is also very approachable and a very interesting and informed chap.
apologies to those i have not mentioned, i limited my post to those i see face to face.

I will indeed, as I say I am hoping to just set a regular weekly spot, I don't yet know what other councillors are planning but will keep you all informed.
