It occurred to me to add that I believe in democratically elected Parliament (House of Commons), which is renewable at each election, accountable to the People it serves (regardless whether they voted or whom they voted), and in Freedom of Speech.
This will explain my absolute opposition to the idea of Parliament being accountable to a private family living the high life of Riley in palaces.
To expect me to be as dumb as to replace even Jesus Christ for this private family is offensive (in my view).

Post 15 is just a personal view from one person.
It is not representative of the British population.
There is no place for a private family as head of the State and Government.
The Government must not be accountable to a private family, it will probably take a Public Debate and an Act of Parliament to sort this one out.
The PM should not be giving his speeches on Government policy to a member of a non-elected private family to read, but should read them out himself, or use an employed civil servant to do it.
Laws passed in Parliament should not be signed by the member of a private family.
Who is this private family and what are they doing in Parliament?
Who voted them in?

Alexander, every post on this forum is a personal view including yours, we are all entitled to agree, disagree, ignore or even laugh at every post on every subject.

I try to be neutral and polite but it is hard and getting even more difficult at times.

Jan
nice to see you this morning, you didn't have to rush off lol
Alexander;
of course its a view just as yours is
let me again try to get you into the debate;
1; The Church of England as a body Recognises the Queen as the head of the Church
not my view, but the view of the C of e.
now you may on your own disagree with her being the head that's another matter
but the C of E are happy that she is the head, and they probably have a little experience in these matters lol
2; I cannot see any post where Iv bullied/influenced/pushed you
at the end of the day I have an opinion on the church in general, but even I recognise that the queen heads up the
church at this time, and certainly there is NO ground swell for change, in fact quite the opposite
