last week we had red ed rattling on about "one nation" traditionally the battlecry of the blues, this week we have dave going on about "aspirations" usually used at the tuc conference.
we should hold a competition on the width of the cigarette paper between the major parties.
barry will now say something about big government which means nothing to the electorate at large.

So big government means nothing to the electorate at large does it?.... Well it should because big government is what is causing all our economic problems both here and abroad.

"Conference speeches are insignificant, his future will be determined by success or failure and not his words." So why are all you champagne socialists all obsessing over the Tory conference and the various speeches?

Howard, Internet etiquette allows the assumption that a post is addressed to the immediate previous poster unless otherwise stated. I don't think you need to get arsey with Barry just because you disagree with his politics.
Or perhaps we should address all posts to Howard, as in 'Mr Speaker'?

Thank you Peter, quite right.
Howard - you would be better off addressing those comments to a certain other person who never has the good manners to address others by name. As you know I have taken that person to task over that myself.
