I shudder to think of the costs to the haulage industry with drivers needing to be paid and vehicles standing idle. Add to that businesses hampered by late deliveries.
Lot of scare stories doing the rounds about camps relocating from Calais to here but I can't see that happening. People would have to produce a passport at Calais then Dover so if the French turn a blind eye at their end they would just be sent back on arrival here.

What a coincidence a General Election coming up next April and Sarkozy plays the hot card before Le Pen does. Incidentally I was told day that French soldiers are deployed inside Calais Port.
