Reg, I can only go by what is posted by both Labour and Conservative representatives on this forum.
All the petty point scoring gets the voter nowhere and in my case I can only think how silly and childish it is, we want factual information and no unenforceable promises, in other words a miracle.

You are right on one thing Reg - you have to be on the inside to know the truth anf you are not on the inside, therefore you cannot be telling the truth - obviously.
I've said this so many times, I am not going to repeat it again, so won't poist any more on this subject.

Jan, you seem to be a lone voice crying out in the wilderness. Can you imagine a world where politicians work towards making Britain a better place for the voters, and not blindly following party political lines. Dover might have had a usable lavatory on the promenade if common sense had taken over, but no, lets put ploitics before people.

How true Barrie, sadly as the saying goes you can lead a horse to water but you can not make him drink.

I know what I mean, but the politicians involved in the sea front lavatory fiasco threw common sense out of the window, followed the party line and put politics before people. These politicians should be ashamed of themselves, even if they have heard the expression 'people before politics', it would sound like a foreign language to them.

Poundland case: government defeated again over back-to-work schemes...
Iain Duncan Smith's appeal to supreme court fails as justices rule work programmes were legally flawed.
"...Five supreme court justices upheld a decision by the court of appeal that went against the government in February.
While the supreme court stopped short of ruling that the regulations constituted forced or compulsory labour, it decided that it was unlawful for the government to fail to supply parliament and hundreds of thousands of jobseekers with proper information about the so-called "workfare" schemes they were forced to undertake at pain of losing jobseeker's allowance.
The judges ruled that the secretary of state had failed to provide sufficient information about the schemes to Reilly and her co-claimant, Jamieson Wilson, an unemployed lorry driver.
The judgment would have resulted in the government's having to refund £130m to about 250,000 unemployed people for unlawful sanctioning, had it not been for emergency retroactive legislation introduced by Duncan Smith in the spring.
After the introduction of that emergency law, the solicitors Public Interest Lawyers (PIL), who represent Reilly and Wilson, lodged a judicial review accusing Duncan Smith of conspiring to undermine basic human rights by enacting the retroactive legislation.
They say they will continue to pursue that judicial review after their success in the supreme court..."

Keith S., thats just one small part of it. Accepting that an error was made somewhere along the line, where was the commonsense, 'lets discuss it all again next week and try to get it sorted for this year' ?
Its only one example plucked from the ether, more knowledgeable forum members could probably list many occasions when political bias has taken over from common sense.

I thought this was appropriate for Baffoon List:
"Court says council must pay for flying lessons
The Court of Appeal ruled that Newcastle City Council must fund flying lessons for a failed asylum seeker, even though he is due to leave Britain next year. The council will also have to foot the bill for his younger brother to study for a degree at Manchester Metropolitan University, meaning the final bill could come to £40,000. A council spokesman said: "This case is based on a novel and complex aspect of law which we felt it important to clarify. The courts have now clarified the position and we are bound to abide by their ruling."
Daily Express, Page: 11 The Daily Telegraph, Page: 13"
That Judge must be a baffoon.

Roger, the judge and the law are buffoons but if the Government do not change this law, they are worse than buffoons....I am sorry if this post upsets the Guardianistas but I support the party of Common sense,UKIP.....I love to know what the taxpayers'funded legal costs were for this case..

The law is certainly an Ass Peter and those who put such judgements on this kind of lunacy, must also be asses.

The real asses are those that appoint the out of touch judges simply because many laws are open to interpretation, the legal buffoons seem to interpret the laws the wrong way.

That was what I thought Howard, it would be nice to know the whole story behind this seemingly idiotic judgement.
