Strange how a thread such as this one goes on and on about bimbos who worry ova their cleavage yet the thread i posted yesterday over the real life of Dover family birthing unit had 3 comments cmon guys wake up .
Might be because this thread has been running for longer......
Private clinics are not unregulated , Any device / implant / for medical use in the UK has to be approved by the Medical devices Authority , which is an NHS/ Public body , so ultimatly they would have had access to the data presented by the manufacturer , analised it and stated that they accepted the findings and that these implants where safe to use .
Similar denials of responsibility where seen from the NHS re the Hip Joint replcements that failed and I believe high court action had to be commenced by patient groups before the trusts responsible took action . Its not an Animal Farm situation where all NHS care is good and all private care is bad , to reduce it to such one dimensional stereotypes belittles the topic .
Well said. I am afraid the blinkers are well and truly in place for some when it comes to healthcare.
#59 - I don't see anyone arguing against the fact that there is good and bad practice across the healthcare sectors. I do see people refusing to acknowledge that the NHS needs major work done on it. Seriously major work.

i am never surprised at how a thread takes off or not.
i have started ones where i thought there would be a big response, then nothing.
another time i start one hesitantly and get pages of replies.

Jan/Mel,
this thread seems to be quite balanced with the left and the right making good points despite the substance of the discussion being suspect.

I have blue tits in my garden Mel. I watch them while doing the washing up. The only reason men are interested in the mammary kind is that they don't have them.
Well, most men anyway. There is a certain computer chap who has a spectacular pair.

I'll not mention envelope flaps then!
We'd best not dwell on this digression.
