You can be very strange Keithy....
Like Ray says, there is a lot of truth in #58.
The main problem is, as Ray pointed out, the 24 hour news cycle and, quite frankly, the media have a lot to answer for as they concentrate too much on the lowest common denominator. Intelligent politics is out of the window.

seen a video of the newsnight programme, i think it would have been more appropriate to have had jeremy kyle as the host.

Bodge-Job and Bro-Ken are not the only players in this game.
The Guardian carries an interview with the Green Candidate (don't you just love the 'candid' bit of the word candidate?) today. It is the Guardian and it is the Green party, so it is mostly chat;background and attempts at getting to hear more about the lift-spat. She does mention that should she get 5%+ of the vote they will get their much needed £10k deposit back...I'll keep that in mind.

The whole article (and the media attention generally) tends to the patronising, but she does herself no favours.

Exactly why they had that green lunatic on the show is beyond me.........oh hang on it's the bbc they still believe that global warming junk. Mind you so does Ken, oh and Doris, oh and that ex-copper. Funny thing about Doris is that he used to write acres in his op-eds a few years before he ran as candidate for mayor excoriating the hippies and environmentalists in general but a whiff of power and even he sold his soul to the devil.
Planet London is welcome to them all.
